It’s been 20 years already…

6 months ago , due to the prices drop of the DVDs I used to shop around at HMV and Carrefour which I think I can find some DVDs as my collections. Sometimes it comes with 2 DVDs for only 30 bucks which contain 2 DVD disc in a movie.

Alright, where were we? Yeah, HMV huh. When I was hunting DVDs and I took a glance at the book shelf and guess what? I noticed a Logo which published at the cover of the magazine, and that logo which I waiting for about 20 years already. Yes, it is… The logo comes with only a “S”, it is Superman the new movie after 1986. Here comes the brand new movie named à Superman Returns! When I know there will be official teaser, I rushed back home and visited the Official Website of Superman Returns for more details.

I ain’t say anything but I’m gonna tell you that it is really exciting when you know there is all about Superman Returns. I watched up the process of how director and his crew working for this movie to a successful one through the Video Blog of the director. Also, within the 2 teasers, I discovered that the actors are so foreshadow to the previous actors, especially when we talked about Clark Kent and Lex Luther! Both old and new actors are giving the same feel when I looked at the teaser. Bravo…

I lost count that how many times been watching Superman 1 and 2 since I was 8. Even when I listened to the dialogue or the script, I can picture the every single scene with the characters. Yup, you are damn right and I am a big big fans of Superman.

We, decreed by Fate!

Look at the post today, guess you have some idea about the topic is gonna be. Fate somehow is so amazing…

I met a friend called Verni in the MSN and we manage to find time to chat with each other after a long long itme, and she introduce a net friend who just started his career in Singapore about 4 months back. And we voice conference via Skype. Listening to his voice, it makes me recall some one who really in my mind but so vague impression.

His name is Skyler, in fact we met 4 years ago at KL Central by introduced a friend of mine, Nicole. We even sat down for a topic related product to WAX and Clay. We were consider “A day Friendship” and till then we don’t meet each other. How did I recall all these? It’s began with asking for friendster ID and after adding him into my friendster list. I noticed that a girl which resided in his list, started to question him about this lady called Nicole. He said Nicole is his best friend. When I heard “Best Friend”, suddenly my mind work like a bullet which brought me to a memory where we met at the KL Cenrtral. And I remembered by asking Nicole, and she replied that Skyler is her best friend either. And because of that, I finally has these all clues and result an answer.

This world is full of amazing thing happen especially the fate we are talking about here. Don’t even think of we can meet again after 4 years, and this is shows how small is the world. I would take this opportunity to say thank you to The Friendster Team to bring distance of people relationship together!

TITANIC 2?

Due to the over concentrate of building the Chinese Blog version, and I have to find time to check my email. And guess what? I found a subject called “Titanic: The Sequel”!

I am not sure how true it is till I watched the trailer and even so, I still not sure whether it is gonna be a movie soon? Can’t start thinking of the Director of the film will be James Cameron who directed the great great TITANIC movie over the past 10 years.

Well, tell me it is true or whether I am dreaming because I’m too workaholic?

Nah….This clip is done by Mr Derek Johnson. But that is his pen name. His real name is Robert Blankenheim. He’s a 25 year old guy from the States. Two thumbs up for such a magnificent work by him. If you may not have noticed, the ‘director’ has melted all of Leonardo’s performances together in creating this sequel trailer. Perhaps he should approach some producers to make this into a movie. The storyline of this sequel fits perfectly well with the original Titanic. Anyway, hope you have enjoyed such an awesome video clip.

I would say overall the page now is 90% furnished.

Courtesy explanation from sevenhouse, I finally understand the role of playing by RSS and CSS and I know one thing for sure, Lycos is the main root which subsequent the significant impact on the layout and design of the page.

Now, with new design quoted by English, Mandarin and even Japanese version of my name, also with my recent photo at the bottom of the banner. Look fresh when compare to WordPress.com which only static banner and template provided. I deeply understand the infrastructure of the web technology now. I go in to the CSS style-sheet to amend the sidebar.php to locate and changing the banner. Not to mentioned thanks to Photoshop offering a good editing tools for me to re-vamp my own banner. By adding part of html code within to the CSS style-sheet or whatsoever, finally the sidebar looks a little neat as the name of the template “NEATv1.0”
Hahaa…

During the process of instruction, I manage to bring-in the Flickr photo gallery into my sidebar. Not only that, I also successfully to bring-in the Web Counter as well as Counter Stat within the sidebar too! This is just somehow an out of sudden thought to bring everything into the sidebar. And thanks to sevenhouse, the php code for the calendar at my sidebar too. According to him, he said that I will be touching the plugin later in the future and of course I have no idea about it, but what do I know it’s gonna be very fun as you can see it is “plug-in” which means something extra to be built or include in the blog.

Today I am really learning and make me recall when I was a JAVA/Web Developer during my first job after grad from University.

FreeWebHost II - What the @%$* RSS?

At last I discover the relationship between Lycos and WordPress.Org, it needs Lycos to host the Template and Contents.

Had a discussion with sevenhouse, the process of migration from WordPress.com to Lycos is to extract the RSS xml file follow by importing RSS Feed into the Lycos content. (I hope I get this terms correct)

After done the part of importation, I truly found that the outcome is really a big headache for me as in the so called great great RSS feed it is only imported the title of the posts. Not only that I consider as a joke, also couple of previous posts can be missing out of nowhere during the “Importation” process. I got to re-post the content of each post also replace the missing posts as well.

Due to the irresponsible of RSS feed, the sidebar is totally “smoke” as in not tally as what exact hosting at WordPress.com. It got to do with the CSS script, and I have to put effort on this to understand the whole thing, but frankly to tell I still don’t understand. Not to worry, (I mean for me) tonight I’m gonna seek for expertise advise from sevenhouse.

Before I end this post, all I wanna say is “What the @%$* RSS?”

FreeWebHost I - The Idea

Along the way not only wanna get rid of all the funny ads, also mad about the “embed” function of audio and video files which not fitting their own sites. I’m really lucky enough to have sevenhouse who offer his willingness aid, to guide and setting up a free webhost thingy. Thus, the new URL is born! [As you can see below]

WordPress.com, sad to inform that it’s suppress the function of embedding. Meaning to say that, not even can import the audio and video file to be display on each or every post topic. This is really drive me crazy as I was thinking it gonna be like a HTML editor for the powerful HTML code editing. However, it is a big disappointment, which doesn’t come with the function. Hence, the Lycos Free WebHost come into the picture to at lease cheers up my day of course not forget the assistance from seven house.

First and foremost, to get this resolve we have to look for a free WebHosting says Lycos. Secondly, the free FTP client, seems everything in FOC condition. What to do? This is only the way we can work it out, moreover I’m not a heavy blogger although recently just anyhow heads up to the blogging world. The following process is gonna be very technical for those who are not so techky. (You know what I’m saying?) Sevenhouse done the part of the migration URL or somesort of the conversion URL thingy and make it work at last, it takes about ETA 2-3 hours to complete the only sample page. Here comes the WordPress.Org software, downloaded the version of 2.02 also ftp the whole thing Lycos account. Lastly, the setting up of the theme interface which result the WYSIWYG!

Even tough now it is still in progress, and I believe that it’s the new URL is gonna be born again!
