Having unforgettable snapping partner…
“夕阳无限好，只是近黄昏。” This is really true when you have a right time
and right partner to have a session like this, Jen Kent is my housemate and he
is my guide during the photo session. I ain’t say he is expert but he is obvious
better than me as you can see the artworks from albums taken by two different
cameras. And I really experience it with LIVE and so satisfy the colour of the
photo of overall, and most of the photos need not send to edition.Knowing him about 3 years and a half; being my housemate and
buddy nearly 3 years time. He taught me a lot regarding the camera technique,
functions and etc. all about the knowledge and experience he had. I still
remember the first camera he bought was PENTAX Optio, and he was so eager to
learn and get the effect he wanted. After a while, he started to plan to get a
good one. By reading forum, surfing net to look into the quality of the photo
posted on the web, and finally he brought a DSLR – Nikon D70. After a while, he
sold out his lens and getting more lenses just to get he effect he wants. This
is him…Some albums I posted in my blogs, majority were his artwork
by increasing his lenses and accessories. Would like to take an opportunity to
say Thank You to him, being along with me for years.He quoted, “The sun rise and sun set are always
the best time for shooting. You’ll experience the difference colours, effect and
the entire feel.”

A desperate thought of Esplanade is a good place for newbie like me as a good start of the shooting session, have an happy experience on it. The most exciting part was capturing birds on the grass. With 12x optical zoom which is not really enough as one little small movement, you’ll scare off those birds fly-away. Hence, have to be taking extra care when you move a little forward for just a second of artwork.
This album divided into 3 categories, building, objects and cultivated area. I had put the most effort on it with eventual advancement to come out with. Allow me to share a piece of experience while taking shot of the flag of Singapore. Believe it, I was standing and under the extreme hot weather about 7 minutes just to catch the most suitable shot, unfortunately, the best I can do which already reside in the album. I was waiting for wind to come little stronger and bright up the flag with style, but this timing wasn’t come into sight. As a result, this is the best I can get. [Other people might think I am out of my mind… As long as I can get the best shot, it’s all worth!]

First Outdoot Shooting!
Today is the first day of outdoor shooting. Intention of having a great time but end up gathered with friends at Coffee Club, Ngee Aun City. We have ordered some food and desert after movie; you can refer to the album of [First Outdoor Shooting]. Meanwhile from the top of view, we seeing bunch of fans waiting superstars for the performance at 630pm, and able to snapped couple of photos to showing the crowd was really exciting. So far my skills belong to newbie and still need more photo session to improve. Hope to bring some good quality artwork…
Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ20GC
Digicam never spaced out our life; use it when we need as evidence of everything. Hunting Digicam for years; initially just for memory of prove for outing, event, tour and etc. But recently looking into the quality of the photos that taken and compared from numbers of digicams. Finally, choosing the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ20GC; a SLR-like digicam for myself as the beginning, to learn a mixture of skills. On top of that, the theory of functions must well understanding before shooting an effect. Knowing when and how to get the effect that you desired.
Tried out some effect such as Aperture, Exposure, White Balance, Optical Zoom, Shuttle Speed, Panning and etc., you can have a look of the photo album [A beginner of skills - Unedited]. Please do not comment as this is my first time shooting. Hopefully I can master and get the effect that I preferred…
